New Dates

The Billyburg Film Festival announced it's new date - June 30... This Friday! Come and check out 'Heavy Soul' if you are in Brooklyn!

The Jerusalem Film Festival also announced a time and date - July 13 at 5pm. Here's the screening info.

Billyburg Festival Postponed. No screening tonight.

I am sorry to announce that due to rain, the Billyburg Short Film Festival will be postponed from tonight to a TBA date. Will post the new one as soon as they announce it.

In the meantime, start your summer the right way by heading over to Check the Cool Wax and listening the the soundtrack of Beach Blanket Bingo!

Ukuyeye & The Pipettes

Just found this great new music video by Mareva Galanter, a cover of 'Pourquoi pas moi', originally recorded by Stella in the 60's. This is prime Ye-Ye revival. On her site at www.ukuyeye.com many other video tributes to 60's Scopitones can be found. Check out this video via YouTube.



The Pipettes recentley released a new music video for their new single 'Pull Shapes'. It's a tribute to Russ Meyer's BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS and while it could have been put together a bit better it's still a lot of fun, the song is great and any a tribute to Meyer would not go unoticed!

The Billyburg Short Film Festival

'Heavy Soul', is supposed to screen at the Billyburg Short Film Festival on Saturday as part of the Brooklyn International Film Festival "Best of" shorts. If you're around come check it out at the McCarren Park Pool.

The event is hosted by Michael Showalter and Japanther will be performing live. I think this is more than enough reason...

Jerusalem and Long Island

The Jerusalem International Film Festival has selected to screen 'Heavy Soul' at this year's festival (July 6-15). It's a great festival and very exciting to be screening the film in Israel. More info as they update their website.

I'll also be screening the film at The Long Island Film Expo on July 13 for those of you in the area.
